Dear Friends,
You may have noticed that last week's āDispatch from Franceā was missing. I sincerely apologize for that, but I drove roughly 1600 miles over the course of 3 days while I was moving out. We are in our new location as I write this, but I cannot guarantee the quality of my connectivity. I greatly appreciate your patience and participation in our project. Without further ado, let's get started with this week's publication.
š«š· š”ļø French Political Barometer
Key events of the April Political wave
Three weeks after the second round of municipal elections, and while the international situation remains tense and the consequences of the war in Iran continue to worry the French, Emmanuel Macronās popularity rating has risen slightly, while Edouard Philippe has seen a significant increase in the proportion of French people who would be satisfied if he became President of the Republic in 2027.
Macronās approval rating rose in April 2026 to 23% (+1 point). While this level remains low and the increase in popularity minimal, it marks the third consecutive month of rising approval for the President of the Republic in a still tense international context.1
Cyber-INsecurity
The ANTS portal, which issues identity cards, passports, and driverās licenses, was the victim of a cyberattack resulting in a data breach, the Ministry of the Interior has confirmed.
Up to 19 million French citizens could be affected by this large-scale breach, linked to a technical vulnerability on the platform.
The potentially compromised data includes: last name, first name, email address, postal address, date and place of birth, and telephone number, as well as information used to verify individualsā identities.
Given the constant leaks and hacks of databases containing french citizens documents, this is a huge blow to their anonymity and security.
Meanwhile, the European Commission has sent Google its proposed measures to ensure compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Under these propositions, Google must allow third-party search engines to access search data, such as rankings, queries, clicks, and page views, on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms.
The aim of these measures is to enable third-party search engines, or ādata recipients,ā to improve their search services and compete with Google Search.
The proposed measures cover the following:
The right of data recipients to receive search data, including data from AI-powered chatbots with search capabilities,
The amount of search data Google is required to share,
The terms and frequency of the exchange of search data with Google,
Measures to ensure the anonymization of personal data,
The parameters for setting fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory prices for research data, and
The processes governing beneficiariesā access to research data.
The EU will literally know everything about every European, and hackers will be handed over free ācookiesā (pun intended) to access a treasure trove of peopleās personal information.
So, letās ask the question: do these people want to implement identity verification on social media and for the digital euro?
Now, according to Pavel Durov, [NOTE: Above is my article that covers Durovās detention in France back in 2024. āJBM] creator of the Telegram platform, hereās how the EU and the UK now regulate social media:
They offer CEOs secret deals to censor dissent;
If they refuse, they launch criminal prosecutions;
When people object, they claim itās āfor the benefit of children.ā
āProtecting childrenā has become a standard legal and PR pretext.
The question is, what will happen to the social media platforms that donāt cave to the EU regulations?
Letās uncover how they REALLY want to āProtect the children.ā
ā ļø šø TRIGGER WARNING: Stop scrolling now if you donāt want to be exposed to LGBT propaganda!
It is hard to watch and even harder to comprehend, but my readers do not need any translation or subtitles to understand that the French government claims LGBT education classes starting in primary school are clearly aiming to make all of Europe look like this in the future.
Immigration
France and the UK have signed a new āhistoricā agreement to try to prevent clandestine crossings of the English Channel.
This agreement provides for a 50% increase in law enforcement personnel, bringing the total to 1,400 officers by 2029. It will also include the deployment of drones, helicopters, and electronic resources to better prevent crossing attempts.
Part of the British funding, ā¬186 million over three years, will be āflexibleā and conditional on the effectiveness of the measures implemented. The United Kingdom will contribute a total of ā¬766 million over three years.
According to official figures, 41,472 people illegally crossed the Channel into the United Kingdom in 2025, a record number. At least 29 migrants died at sea that same year.
Goodbye⦠Weapons!
According to an Elabe poll, 17% of French people would be ready to join the army if France were directly attacked militarily, including 6% who said ādefinitelyā and 11% who said āprobably.ā
Young adults (29% of 18-24 year olds and 24% of 25-34 year olds) and men (26% compared to 9% of women) would be more inclined to enlist.
Left-wing voters (12% overall) are much less inclined to enlist than right-wing voters (25% for Renaissance and LR, 19% for RN, 46% for ReconquĆŖte).
61% of French people say they are ready to participate in civil protection operations (rescue, logistics, support for the population) in the event of an attack, with a gender gap in this regard as well.
Letās be honest: Faced with a real and imminent danger, the proportion of self-assured individuals would decrease, while that of the undecided would become practically zero. These numbers only applies to France and only in the event of foreign intervention.
This closes this installment of the WEEKLY ROUNDUP DISPATCH from FRANCE in collaboration with Anonymous Media Group and The Dirty Dozen Dispatch.
