I remember being next to my ornery grandfather in the 1970’s watching this parade. He harrumphed and said: “They march better than they fight.” I fell down I was laughing so hard. And I love France. My friends over there are saying some serious shit about our homegrown militia right now. 😭🇫🇷⚽️
I'll agree with your grandfather! From personal experience, the only armed forces of France able to sustain a fight longer that it takes to say "pass the cheese" would be the French Foreign Legion... Of course, they are all foreigners...
Good description of this special day for France. I had to look up Globish, I wasn’t sure what it was. Also, your reference to Camembert says a lot! Across the ocean, people feel the same stresses. And your sense of humor with the 🥖 baguette emoji that was funny.
No. Honesty I lost a of interest in Europe when they joined collectively to create the EU. I felt like the countries lost their individual identity. Example their money, I have a friend from Italy cried when they stopped accepting lira.
Thank you! I hate this Globalistic-English... It's not a problem only in France. The usage of borrowed words from another language bc it sounds "cool", "hip", "in", or whatever makes the users of it sounds dumb, as they usually cannot even pronounce these words the right way! Have you actually ever listened to a NATO, or EU conference? That's hilarious... They just all should speak in their own language and use the earpieces for translation!
For that, you need to read my bio! As a subscriber that's easy to find. Then, your question is exactly what I want out of my readership, that they question everything 🤝🏻
Wow. You just turned Bastille Day into a scorched-earth takedown of performative sovereignty wrapped in Macron-branded bureaucracy and Brussels-flavored irony. 🔥🇫🇷

After winning the elections one year ago, Jean-Luc Melenchon is still waiting to form a government. The democracy turned into an epistocracy!
Melenchon has never held a position where he could have formed a government 🤔
How do we know you are not spreading propaganda for some nefarious purpose?
