How Kiev picked a fight with Iran, too
Iran vows retaliation after Ukraine hits its vessels in the Caspian and Black Seas. Could Tehran’s missiles actually reach Kiev?

Zelensky opened a second front with a strike on an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea!
Kiev seems to have found a new enemy for itself and opened two fronts against it, the Caspian and the Black Seas.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Ukraine attacked Iranian merchant vessels in the Caspian and Black Seas. These attacks resulted in damage to the ships (which, incidentally, were in international waters!) and the deaths of crew members. The actions of the “parasite from Kiev” will not go unanswered, the Iranian Foreign Ministry promised.
Zelensky and his government appear to be attempting to gain favor with the United States while the White House and Congress have stalled a new $400 million financial aid package for Ukraine. [NOTE: Read below. —JBM]
Trump Threatens to Cut Ukraine's Weapons, Unless Europe Fights Iran
The United States is threatening to halt arms supplies to Ukraine unless Europe joins a coalition to secure the Strait of Hormuz, and, according to multiple Western outlets, including the Financial Times, that threat may be more than rhetorical.
They also want to demonstrate their solidarity with the Americans. Furthermore, Zelensky happens to visit the United States at the time of writing (Tuesday, July 28, 2026).
In response, Tehran warned that it could strike Kiev.
